Children Pony Rides

We have designed this session to give children the opportunity to ride quiet ponies in a safe, fun environment.  All horses are led by a capable buddy, with a qualified instructor to guide the group.  The children will play games and be encouraged to balance through their seat, this session is all about fun, confidence, balance and safety.  Bits & Boots also regularly hold children trail rides and this is also a great chance to see if your child is capable of attending them as well.  

During winter, dress warm and bring a jacket. In summer bring a water bottle, sunscreen, collared shirt and always be sun smart. We do ask for an approximate weight for each rider to determine a suitable rider to horse match (as there are weight restrictions for each horse/pony).

 

Pony Ride Requirements

• Australian Standard Helmets & Boots can be provided (bring your own if you have them)

• Wear long pants and collared shirt

• Water proof Jacket (weather can change without notice)

• Pair of gloves if you have them (during winter)

• First Aider and kit provided

• Horse and Tack provided

• All staff over 18 have working with children checks

• Rider information sheet must be returned at time of booking

• Risk warning forms must be filled out for each rider attending
